The precinct counting machine increases the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of vote counting while maintaining the paper ballot as a final input for auditing.

The voter simply marks their selection on their paper ballot. Ballots can be inserted into the precinct counting machine in any orientation, and both sides can be read simultaneously, optimizing the voting and counting processes.

Highlights

Avoid over voting
  • A unique identification number can be added on the back of the ballot paper to ensure that a ballot paper can be read only once by the equipment.

Image recognition technology
  • Strong image capture ability and fault tolerance ability perfectly identifies the information filled on the ballot paper.

Rejection of illegal ballots
  • For unidentifiable ballots (unfilled ballots, defiled ballots, etc.) or ballots that are not filled in according to election rules (such as overvoting), PCOS equipment will automatically return them to ensure the validity of the vote.

Ultrasonic overlapping detection
  • Ultrasonic overlapping detection technology will automatically detect and prevent multiple ballots from being put into the equipment at once, folding ballots paper and other irregularities to ensure the accuracy of the ballots counting.
